Der Whisky für diese Abfüllung reifte zunächst klassisch in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern. Diese wurden anschließend vermählt und der Whisky zur finalen Reifung in karibische Rumfässer umgefüllt.

Original Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fresh and bright with aromas of raspberry blossom, coconut oil, Parma violets and custard Danish

Palate: Layers of muscovado sugar, iced buns and cinder toffee bound with lotus biscuits, nougat and coconut cream.

Finish: Sweet butterscotch and choclate eclairs fading into warming cake spice linger.

Tomintoul wurde 1964 bei Ballindalloch in wildromantischer Umgebung errichtet und nach Schottlands höchstgelegenem Dorf benannt. Das Wasser stammt aus der Ballantruan Spring. Der größte Anteil der Produktion geht in die Blends, zumeist in den White & Mackay.
