Die getorfte Abfüllung aus dem Hause Tomintoul. Die Gerste die für diesen Whisky verwendet wurde, wurde über Torfrauch getrocknet, so dass sich die rauchigen und torfigen Aromen im Whisky wiederfinden.

Original Tasting Notes:

Nose: Sweet and sooty with aromas of campfire smoke, ginger biscuits, coffee grounds and smoked meats with a subtle nettle freshness.

Palate: Layers of hazelnut, smoky bacon and treacle toffees mingled with toasted oats, peat smoke and sweet liquorice with lemon zest highlights.

Finish Nutty and smoky with notes of coffee cake, roasted pecans and lingering clove spices

Tomintoul wurde 1964 bei Ballindalloch in wildromantischer Umgebung errichtet und nach Schottlands höchstgelegenem Dorf benannt. Das Wasser stammt aus der Ballantruan Spring. Der größte Anteil der Produktion geht in die Blends, zumeist in den White & Mackay.
