Founded in 1828 by the Reid family in Campbeltown on the Mull of Kintyre peninsula, Springbank was taken over as early as 1837 by the Mitchell family, who still own it. The single malt Springbank is distilled two and a half times with water from the Crosshills Loch and little peated malt: A blend of feints and low wines is distilled a third time. Springbank also produces the single malts Longrow (double distilled, more peated malt) and Hazelburn (triple distilled, unpeated malt). All whiskies are not coloured and not chill-filtered.

Official Tasting Note:
This burnished gold whiskey has a nose of apricots, highland toffee, and light smoke. The Palate is subtly sweet with notes of marzipan, peaches and green herbs. The finish is medium length with lingering fruit.
