SINGLE MALT
Single malt Scotch whisky is the purest distillate of Scottish whisky production. The term includes several facts: Single = from a distillery, malt = made from malted barley, Scotch = made in Scotland and whisky = stored in used oak barrels for at least 3 years. In addition, the “drink” made taking these factors into account must contain at least 40% vol. Have alcohol to call yourself whisky.
For the sake of clarity, we have divided the single malt category into distilleries, independent bottlers, our own bottlings and rarities, each of which can be found in a single category.
