Ian MacLeodIan MacLeod & Company Ltd wurde am 01. Oktober 1933 gegründet. In den Besitz der Familie Russell gelangte das Unternehmen dann im Jahr 1963. Seitdem wurde viele große Blended Marken in in das Unternehmen integriert. Mit der Glengoyne Brennerei kam dann im Jahr 2003 die erste eigene Brennerei hinzu, 2011 folgte Tamdhu und schließlich die geschlossene Brennerei Rosebank, welche vermutlich 2022 wieder eröffnet werden soll. Ian MacLeod & Company Ltd was founded on 01 October 1933. The Russell family took over the company in 1963, and since then many large blended brands have been integrated into the company. With the Glengoyne distillery, the first own distillery was added in 2003, followed by Tamdhu in 2011 and finally the closed Rosebank distillery, which will probably be reopened in 2022. MacLeod is best known in the single malt sector for series such as “Smokehead” and “As We Get It”. |
