Linkwood was founded by Peter Brown in 1821 and completely rebuilt by his son William in 1871. It is located south of Elgin, surrounded by forest, close to the Lossie, on 4 hectares of park-like grounds in the Speyside. The water comes from springs at Loch Milbuis. Linkwood is owned by Diageo today.
