From its inception in 1875 to today, Glenglassaugh has been inactive for almost half the time. It is located near the sea between the Spey and the Deveron near Portsoy in the Highlands. The water comes from the valley of Glenglassaugh.

The Revival represents the new style of the distillery that is there since it was reopened. There are used many different casks, that all come together for the last half year in a sherry cask.
