Distilled in 2014 and bottled on 09.01.2023, this Glenglassaugh is part of the Cask Collection series by A.D. Rattray. The majority of the maturation took place in a bourbon hogshead. In addition, the whisky received an 18-month 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead finish. Spices such as anise and cinnamon dominate alongside heavy sweetness of blackberry jam and brown sugar.
Official Tasting Note:
Aroma: Spanish cedar jam, star anise and blackberries.
Taste: Ceylon cinnamon, sticky sultanas and glazed biscuits.
Finish: A bakery pantry of brown sugar, currants and baking spices.

Since Glengassaugh was built in 1875 it was not used for more than half of the time. It is located in the Highlands, next to the sea between the Spey and the Deveron near to Porstsoy. The water that is used comes from the Glenglassaugh.
