Die Brennerei Talisker ist (noch) die einzige Destille auf der Insel Skye. Sie wurde 1831 von Hugh und Kenneth MacAskill in Carbost am Ufer des Loch Harport errichtet. Das Wasser für die Whiskys von Talisker stammt aus bis zu 14 verschiedenen Quellen.
