The Mannochmore distillery was founded in 1971 by John Haig & Co. In 1985 the distillery was shut down for around 4 years, so the Mannochmore has only been available as a single malt since 1992. A special feature of the distillery is that it only produces in winter. It is located on the same site as the Glenlossie distillery and is also operated by its employees.
