This bottling is the 13th edition, the 2023 edition, with 20ppm. The 2023 Edition matured in 44 bourbon barrels and is limited to 13,000 bottles.

Original Tasting Notes:
Nose: Malt loaf, toffee apple, banana bread, citrus, lavender,
pear drops, sea salt and hints of peat smoke.
Palate: Fresh vanilla and fragrant peat smoke with caramel,
barley blossom, sultanas and hints of spicy oak tannins.
and toffee are present towards the finish.
Finish: Silky viscosity with fresh crumpets, butter and honey.

The distillery was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005. It was the first new-opening of a distillery on Islay after a pause of 125 years. It is located in the northwestern part of the island on a former farmer area and is the only distillery on Islay that isn’t located next to the sea. It also is the only distillery on Islay which may call itself ‘100% Islay’, using all the ingredients and doing every producing step on the island.
