Dingle Single Malt Lúnasa – 50,5%

The “Wheel of the Year” series is based on the Celtic wheel of the year. This solar calendar shows the time and seasons and is divided into eight sections. For each of them, Dingle releases a limited-edition whisky (and celebrates the traditional Wren’s Day with a bonus dram to boot).

After the single malts Samhain for the Celtic New Year, Lá le Bríde for the beginning of spring and Bealtaine for the summer season, the Irish are now starting the autumn with Lúnasa. The single malt is a homage to the festival of the same name, which the Celtic deity Lugh founded in memory of his foster mother Tailtiu. As earth mother, she watched over Ireland’s fertile landscapes. After preparing the fields of the Emerald Isle for cultivation, she is said to have died of exhaustion.

Lúnasa matured in bourbon casks with an exquisite finish in bourbon barrels from Widow Jane in Brooklyn, New York. With red berries, salted caramel, ginger and spices, it creates anticipation for the coming season.
