The malt matured for at least 10 years in the most exclusive Oloroso sherry butts from the renowned José y Miguel Martín bodega, from which Glenfarclas also obtains its famous sherry casks.
Glenfarclas also obtains its famous sherry casks. The youngest cask in which the Loch Gorm 2025 matured is 10 years old, making it the oldest Loch Gorm Kilchoman has ever released.
Founder Anthony Wills selected a combination of 23 Oloroso sherry butts. An astonishing 20 casks of these are first fill, with a further 3 casks second fill. The first-fill Oloroso sherry casks produce a juicy, sweet and highly intense fruit character of dark fruits and rich spice, which harmonise perfectly with the classic Kilchoman peat smoke and characteristic citrus flavours.
