The Glenallachie distillery, founded in 1967, is located in the small village of Aberlour at the foot of Ben Rinnes. The first bottling took place the following year. This 17-year-old Speyside whisky matured entirely in refill butts. Deliciously spicy with a hint of spice, this bottling offers notes of Medjool dates, heather, rye bread, and dark chocolate.

Original Tasting Notes
Nose: Medjool dates, mocha, nutmeg, walnut, pistachio, heather, passion fruit.
Palate: Cinnamon, ginger, marzipan, butterscotch, pumpernickel bread.
Finish: Aniseed, brandied cherries, rye toast, dark chocolate.

Founded in 1967 the Glenallachie Distillery was owned by concerns for a logn time. 2017 the distillery was bought by The GlenAllachie Distillers Company. Till this change the distillery produced most of the whisky for blends but now the new owner Billy Walker and his partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson use the malt for more distillery bottlings. This ist the start of a new core range and some special distillery bottlings.
