This Port Charlotte from the Bruichladdich Distillery was distilled in 2004 and bottled by Malts of Scotland in 2023.

Nose: fine smoke, honey, caramel toffee, freshly ground vanilla, quince jelly, apple rings, butter biscuits, crème brûlée

Flavour: earthy sweet smoke, soft toffee, vineyard peaches, apricots, rape honey, vanilla crescents, cereal meal, slightly grassy, tobacco leaves, ash

The distillery Port Charlotte was founded in 1829 by Colin Campbell. After having many different owners it was shut down in 1929. The warehouses still exist and are also used. The distillery used to have the name Lochindaal or Loch Indaal as well. There are produced and bottled whiskys in Bruichladdich unwder the name ‘Port Charlotte’. The announced reopening by Bruichladdich has not been realized until today.
