Kilchoman Cognac Cask Matured 2023 – 50%

Kilchoman celebrates a premiere and presents the very first Cognac cask maturation. For the Kilchoman Cognac Cask Matured Release 2023, 32 cognac casks from Tonellerie Bossuet in France were selected and matured in Kilchoman’s warehouses for a minimum of six years. Each cask has an individual aroma, but once these are brought together, a wonderfully rich and herbaceous sweet spice emerges and harmonises beautifully with Kilchoman’s maritime peat smoke. Maturation in ex-Cognac casks gives the malt notes of pear, apricot and a hint of spice, which are in perfect harmony with Kilchoman’s natural citrus sweetness and maritime peat smoke.
