“For our Cuate Rum “Single Cask Islay Whisky Barrel”, we allowed parts of our Cuate Rum 13 Barbados Master Blend to mature again for many months – and chose a barrel in which an Islay whisky had previously been stored for over 16 years. The particularly intense smoke and peat flavours of the whisky have turned the originally rather sweet Cuate Rum 13 into a very special and unique rum with rough edges.
