Since it was first mentioned in 1854, the genuine Sardinian “Mirto” Zedda Piras has been produced according to a traditional recipe. In winter, from the end of November until January, myrtle berries are gathered from wild bushes in the centuries-old forests of Sardinia. In ancient times, myrtle was considered a sacred plant of Aphrodite and is a symbol of love and beauty.
