This year’s edition is a vatting of 2016’s Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads and Fresh Bourbon Barrels, bottled in 46%, in natural colouring and without chill filtration. Bottled especially for Valentine’s Day, this year’s bottling unfortunately didn’t make it on time again.
The Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Fruitcake and vanilla underpinned with a sweet sherry note.
Taste: Creamy cake batter, cherry and pear.
Finish: Long and lusciously sweet with a little spicy tannins from the oak.

The distillery which is existing today was built in 2011 at the place the old distillery was standing. The old one started producing in 1993. Wolfburn is located in the Northern Highlands in Thurso and gets its water from the same-named river Wolfburn.
