Tomintoul Peated Miniature – 40%

The peated bottling from the house of Tomintoul. The barley used for this whisky was dried over peat smoke, so that the smoky and peaty flavours can be found in the whisky.

Original tasting notes:

Nose: Sweet and sooty with aromas of campfire smoke, ginger biscuits, coffee grounds and smoked meats with a subtle nettle freshness.

Palate: Layers of hazelnuts, smoky bacon and treacle sweets mingle with toasted oats, peat smoke and sweet liquorice with lemon zest accents.

Finish: Nutty and smoky with notes of coffee cake, toasted pecans and lingering clove spices.
