Stauning Host Danish Double Malt – 40,5%

The latest Heimat Essence is Stauning HØST, a distinctively fruity blended malt based on rye and barley.

Named after the Danish word for “harvest,” HØST pays homage to the changing seasons that produce the raw materials for making whiskey. The blended malt combines rye and single malt whiskey from the distillery made from grain that grows just a few kilometers away. Bourbon casks and heavily burned new American white oak give Stauning HØST character. The final maturation in first fill port barriques rounds off the fruity experience with floral undertones.

Accessible in terms of taste and price, the new standard invites you into the world of Stauning and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways – neat or in drinks.

The single rye whisky adds additional fruity and spicy characteristics to the liquid version of a rye loaf, such as red berries, green apples and toasted notes – ideal for late summer pure enjoyment.

Bottled from 19 port casks, the worldwide edition is only 4,600 bottles.
