Inspired by old-school whiskies from sherry casks of the 1980s, the Tormore 16 y.o. retains its characteristic fruitiness even after full maturation in American and European oak sherry casks. The result is a wonderfully balanced, creamy whisky with notes of brioche with spiced butter, dates, lemon oil, blueberry jam and vanilla fudge.

Although only founded in 1958 in Advie, near Grantown-on-Spey in the Highlands, the distillery is already a listed building. Its water comes from the Achvochkie spring and its whisky is mainly used in blends such as Long John.

Following its takeover by Elixir Distillers, a new chapter began for the distillery in 2022. The vision? To bring the original character of the ‘Pearl of Speyside’ back to the fore and establish Tormore as a single malt. For the first time in many years, the three-part Core Range showcases the distillery’s elegant, fruit-forward house style.
