Distilled on 15 October 1999 at the historic Springbank Distillery, this single malt was matured for over a quarter of a century in a fresh sherry hogshead. The independent bottler Claxton’s selected this single cask, numbered C25141, for its exclusive ‘Warehouse No. 1 Series 10 Celebratory Release’. With a strictly limited run of just 74 bottles worldwide, this whisky is a testament to the art of selection at its finest; it has been bottled without chill filtration and in its natural colour.

The packaging is slightly damaged at the top edge (see photo), which is why the item is being offered at the RRP.

Founded in 1828 by the Reid family in Campbeltown on the Mull of Kintyre peninsula, Springbank was taken over as early as 1837 by the Mitchell family, who still own it. The single malt Springbank is distilled two and a half times with water from the Crosshills Loch and little peated malt: A blend of feints and low wines is distilled a third time. Springbank also produces the single malts Longrow (double distilled, more peated malt) and Hazelburn (triple distilled, unpeated malt). All whiskies are not coloured and not chill-filtered.
