This Ruadh Maor comes from the Glenturret Distillery and was made from peated barley malt. The whisky was matured from 2011 to 2026 in a refill sherry hogshead; the label on the bottle features Dr Fu Man Shu.

Glenturret claims to be the oldest distillery in Scotland, like many others do. But this distillery really could be the oldest, because already in 1775 there was existing a distillery on the area the distillery is located today. The distillery has the name Glenturret since 1875. It lays at a quaint place outside of Crieff and next to the River Turret. The water that is used comes from the Loch Turret. The distillery is producing for the Blend ‘Famous Gouse’.
