Behind this bottling lies the keen intuition of the Thompson Bros., who selected a peated single malt from a mysterious Highland distillery for this release. Following an initial maturation period of over twelve years, the whisky underwent an exceptionally long finishing process: the spirit spent a full three years in ex-rum casks, marrying smoky notes with tropical complexity. With a limited worldwide run of just 895 bottles, this malt underscores its exclusive character—one that remains unadulterated thanks to the absence of chill-filtration and artificial coloring.

Shimmering in a bright, pale gold, the whisky reveals a fascinating complexity right from the nose. A distinct note of peat smoke harmoniously blends with the sweetness of vanilla and ripe, exotic fruits, accompanied by a hint of caramel and spicy wood. On the palate, a soft texture unfolds; rum-like sweetness—characterized by tropical fruits and caramel—takes the lead, while the smoke remains subtle yet assertive in the background. The finish is remarkably long, balancing the fruitiness with a fine, dry spiciness.
