This Islay malt comes from the Laphroaig Distillery and has been matured for 11 years in bourbon casks. A Laphroaig in the finest tradition – fresh bread, peat smoke, a medicinal note of iodine, but also hints of lime and herbs; simply classic. It is bottled at 50%.

Laphroaig means as much as ‘valley at the big white bay’ and was founded by Donald and Alex Johnston in 1826. It is located at the southern shore of Islay. The whisky is famous for its smokey-phenolic, iodine-containing and salty character. Laphroaig has its own peat fields – which can be reached by the shortest railway of the world – and also has own malting floors.
