This whisky is the 14th release of Kilkerran Heavily Peated. It was matured in bourbon and sherry casks and bottled at cask strength of 58.3% ABV.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Honeycomb, wholemeal toast, chargrilled seafood, smoky bacon.
Taste: Smoke, lemon shortbread, melon, ham.
Finish: Nicely balanced: Peat smoke, lemon zest, icing sugar, and a sweet, buttery mouthfeel.

The Glengyle Distillery was founded in 1872 in Campeltown, but it was closed down after World War I. In 2000 the owners of the Springbank Destillerie founded Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd. The old distillery was completely rehabilitated. Since 2004 Glengyle is producing Whisky again, which was the first reopening of a Distillery in Campeltown for the last 125 years. The name “Glengyle” may not be used for the produced whisky, which is why it is called “Kilkerran”.
