Uniquely Islay 2025 “An-T-Earrach” means “spring” in Gaelic and features new experimental single casks, innovative full-cask maturations – Sauternes, Moscatel – and, for the first time, exceptionally long cask finishes.

This Kilchoman 2017 matured the entire time in a Sauternes hogshead before being bottled exclusively for the German market in 2025.

Taste: This Sauternes cask has floral notes with lasting buttery sweetness and integrated peat smoke.

The distillery was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005. It was the first new-opening of a distillery on Islay after a pause of 125 years. It is located in the northwestern part of the island on a former farmer area and is the only distillery on Islay that isn’t located next to the sea. It also is the only distillery on Islay which may call itself ‘100% Islay’, using all the ingredients and doing every producing step on the island.
