L.W.C. Michelsen, founded in 1814 as a grocery, has developed over the years into Hamburg’s renowned specialty shop for delicacies. As a former imperial and royal court supplier and later with an integrated specialty restaurant, Michelsen was the first address in Hamburg for the finest food and drinks. Known and popular also thanks to its own city kitchen, in which large buffets for special occasions were freshly prepared daily using own recipes.
