Tasting Notes:
Aroma: cherry blossoms, delicate smoke, cocoa
Taste: charcoal, rose water, dark honey
Aftertaste: ripe fruit, sweet smoke, some licorice

The distillery whose name means as much as ‘great barrier’ is located next to the shore of Loch Indaal in the center of the isle Islay. Founded in 1779 it is one of the oldest distilleries in Sotland, owned by the japanese Suntory Group. The water comes from the River Laggan.
