The Martinique 4 y.o. is produced as a small batch. As is customary for the French overseas departments, the “vieux Rhum” is distilled from freshly pressed sugar cane juice in the column still. It matures tropically in French oak for four years, leaving the barrel at 58% vol. Visually and aromatically, the FRC conveys Caribbean joie de vivre: oak and spice are followed by coffee beans, dark chocolate, a hint of citrus fruits and fine sweetness.
