Ontake The First Edition 2023 is the distillery's first single malt. Matured in first fill solera sherry butts, it develops a lush flavor profile that combines bright and tangy fruits, spices and roasted aromas with fruit cake and vanilla - and was awarded gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2024. Its aroma unfolds at an unfiltered 43% vol. The authentic premiere is packaged in a wooden box that conveys a message of enjoyment on the inside: "Have a great time with Ontake!"   Tasting Notes: Nose: Aromatic and lush. A combination of sweet aromas of roasted apples and apricots as well as tangy citrus fruits, spices and roasted aromas. Palate: Dry, but mild and full-bodied notes of fruit cake and vanilla spread from the center. Finishing: Soft and long.
