Mount Gay Black Barrel – 43%

The Mount Gay Black Barrel impresses with its higher proportion of exquisite double-pot still distillates. These usually mature between three and seven years in American whisky casks which give the rum its spicy note. A subsequent refinement in charred bourbon oak barrels rounds off the taste.

Its spicy bouquet of oak, caramel and candied almond is paired with fine notes of vanilla, lime and orange. Peppery spicy notes are accompanied by pineapple, ripe plum, toffee and smoky wood tones, followed by an intense and powerful finish.
