This cask-strength bottling showcases Bunnahabhain exactly as it matures in the warehouse: unpeated, fruity, with gentle spice and the characteristic coastal freshness—undiluted, without chill filtration, and without added color. For the 2026 release, Bunnahabhain’s Master Blender Julieann Fernandez combines 50% first-fill Oloroso casks with 50% bourbon casks. The result is robust and cask-forward, yet wonderfully sweet, creamy, and approachable.

The Oloroso casks contribute the classic Bunnahabhain richness: dried fruits, gentle spice, and chocolate. The Bourbon casks add notes of vanilla, honey, and toasted coconut, making the whiskey rounder and creamier. Aging in the warehouses right on Bunnahabhain Bay imparts a subtle hint of salt and sea air to the whole blend. The spiciness is present and perfectly integrated—powerful, yet never overpowering.

Nose: Raisins, figs, and dates with honey and vanilla, followed by cinnamon and cloves. Underneath, fresh coastal notes.
