Scarabus Bourbon Cask #11 - 59,6%

Product information "Scarabus Bourbon Cask #11 - 59,6%"

Scarabus Single Cask No. 11 presents itself as a robust, heavily peated whisky, combining smoky and campfire notes. The nose is dominated by caramelized apples, warm wood, and a subtle hint of peat, complemented by delicate tarragon and vanilla accents. On the palate, it is smoky and distinctive, accompanied by a balsamic sweetness of caramelized orange peel, black pepper, and milk chocolate. The texture is smooth and creamy, the character clear and assertive. In the long finish, embers, wood notes, and peaty elements meld into a lasting warmth, accompanied by a lingering smoky aftertaste.

This Scarabus Single Cask is an Islay single malt with a mystical touch: The slogan “Only those who seek will find” and the hidden, ambiguous symbols and messages on the label appeal to all those who want to discover new things, have an eye for detail, and experience whisky in a new way. Fittingly, the name was chosen: Scarabus. Oh yes, and the cask number – No. 11 – provides an interesting detail and suggests that it could be a whisky from a young Islay distillery…

Bunnahabhain 12-Year-Old Thompson Bros. Madeira - 46.1%

The Bunnahabhain Distillery is located on the Sound of Islay, in the northeastern corner of the island, directly across from the island of Jura—so remote that when it was built in 1881, a long, winding road first had to be constructed down to the sea. The water used to make whiskey—which is relatively low in peat for Islay—comes from an underground spring, the Margadale River. Until 2003, it was owned by the descendants of the founders, Highland Distillers. The current owner is Burn Stewart Distillers.
