Whisky from North America
Whisky from North America covers a wide variety of whisky styles, particularly from the USA and Canada. The best-known types include American bourbon whiskey, rye whiskey, Tennessee whiskey and Canadian whisky, which differ in their production, the grains used and cask maturation. American bourbon is made mainly from corn and matures in new, charred oak casks, which often creates sweet notes of vanilla, caramel and oak. Rye whiskey, on the other hand, is often characterised by a spicier character, while Canadian whiskies cover a range of styles. Well-known brands such as Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve and Jack Daniel's represent different traditions of North American whiskey making. Whether a classic bourbon, a robust rye or a limited single barrel bottling, North American whisky offers a wide selection for different tastes. Discover whisky from North America and find the right bottlings from American and Canadian distilleries.
