4cl sample of the Ardnamurchan 10 Years AD/10 - 50%This bottling is a limited whisky from the Ardnamurchan Distillery that received a finish of over a year in Champagne Paul Launois barriques and was bottled at 50%. The release is limited to 15,000 bottles in total. Tasting notes: Nose: The nose opens with an overtly tropical offering; replete with ripe mangoes, pineapple cubes, lots of honey. There are baked bananas, brown sugar, figs, and wine gums. With time, we go a little deeper into darker tones of crème caramel, toffee, and meringues with white chocolate. Palate: Oh, hello there, waxiness! The theme of honey continues, backed up by linseed oil, warming spices, gingerbread, fresh pineapple, and cedar. Oily, waxy, showing great depth!

4cl sample of the Ballechin 2006 Moscato Passito Cask #801 - 53,8% The distillery lies a few miles west of Pitlochry near Moulin and belongs to the Highlands whisky region. It was probably founded in 1825 and is the only Scottish distillery still preserved entirely in the style of the old farmhouse distilleries. For a long time this also made it Scotland's smallest distillery. Its two stills produced just 15 casks a week. Today's production capacity is around 500,000 litres of pure alcohol per year, after an extension to the distillery came into operation in February 2018. As the original Ballechin distillery no longer exists, the peated version of Edradour is offered under this name.
