Whisky from Japan
Whisky from Japan has established itself as a category in its own right on the international whisky market and partly follows Scottish traditions in its production. Well-known Japanese distilleries such as Yamazaki, Hakushu, Yoichi and Miyagikyo produce single malt whiskies with differing flavour profiles. The range extends from light, fruity and floral bottlings to spicy, complex and smoky whiskies. Alongside classic bourbon and sherry casks, Japanese Mizunara oak is sometimes used for maturation. Both single malt and blended whisky play an important role in Japanese whisky making. Whether a standard bottling, a limited edition or a special cask maturation, Japanese whisky offers a versatile selection for every taste. Discover whisky from Japan and find the right bottlings from well-known and new Japanese distilleries.
