Gordon & MacPhail Collection 5x70cl - 50th Anniversary Kirsch Import

Product information "Gordon & MacPhail Collection 5x70cl - 50th Anniversary Kirsch Import"

Some collections tell a story the moment you see them—and this anniversary set, marking Kirsch Import’s 50th year, is a liquid chronicle of the art of Scottish distilling. Curated by the renowned firm Gordon & MacPhail, it unites five decades and five legendary distilleries in a composition that exudes rarity and artisanal perfection.

This set contains one 700ml bottle of each of the following bottlings:

  • Littlemill 1991 – 2023 – 44,5%
  • Macallan Speymalt 2001 – 2026 – 51,0%
  • Benromach 2012 – 2026 – 59,2%
  • Caol Ila 46 Jahre – 45,8%
  • Bruichladdich 1988 – 2024 – 51,2%

This whisky is an invitation to connoisseurs who appreciate the tension between extreme smokiness and fruity complexity. The lovingly designed label featuring Hansel and Gretel is a metaphorical hint at the journey of flavour you embark on with this single cask. We recommend enjoying it neat or with a few drops of water to fully explore the many-layered nuances of the St. Estèphe wine cask. Bunnahabhain 12-Year-Old Thompson Bros. Madeira - 46.1%, Single Malt from Islay, Scotland
Bunnahabhain 12-Year-Old Thompson Bros. Madeira - 46.1%

The Bunnahabhain Distillery is located on the Sound of Islay, in the northeastern corner of the island, directly across from the island of Jura—so remote that when it was built in 1881, a long, winding road first had to be constructed down to the sea. The water used to make whiskey—which is relatively low in peat for Islay—comes from an underground spring, the Margadale River. Until 2003, it was owned by the descendants of the founders, Highland Distillers. The current owner is Burn Stewart Distillers.

It was built in 1846 and, since 1974, has featured a completely rebuilt stillhouse that was expanded to include six stills. The distillery, which offers a wonderful view of the island of Jura, is now owned by Diageo. Caol Ila is a prime example of a “workhorse” distillery that primarily produces whisky for blends—in this case, for Johnnie Walker.

Its whisky is the only one that can call itself “100% Islay,” as all ingredients and production steps are carried out on-site. It is the only Islay distillery not located directly on the coast.
