Like the classic Sanaig, the exclusive Kilchoman Sanaig matured mainly in Oloroso sherry casks, but was bottled at natural cask strength of 57.5 % Vol. Instead of adding water, this Sanaig was created at natural cask strength. This Kilchoman 2010 was bottled to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hanseatic Wine Trading Company. The whisky matured for over 13 years in a fresh bourbon cask and was bottled at a cask strength of 53.8%. The cask yielded a total of 235 bottles. On the palate, this whisky exhibits intense peat notes, toffee, smoke, and a pleasant spice.
