Like the classic Sanaig, the exclusive Kilchoman Sanaig matured mainly in Oloroso sherry casks, but was bottled at natural cask strength of 57.5 % Vol. Instead of adding water, this Sanaig was created at natural cask strength. This small batch bottling consists of two Oloroso sherry butts that matured for over 13 years and were bottled exclusively for the German market. These are two of the few unpeated casks produced by the distillery.

On the palate, this whisky exhibits intense peat notes, toffee, smoke, and a pleasant spice.
