With the head of a wolf, the werewolf looks fearsome, yet behind the menacing appearance hides a gentle soul, symbolised by the wooden spear that carries the catch for the people of Campbeltown. According to legend, the wolf lived in a cave dug into a wooded hill, a place nobody dared to enter. He spent his days fishing in solitude and generously shared his catch with the poorest members of the Campbeltown community, becoming a folkloric symbol of Campbeltown. Never expecting thanks or anything in return, he became an emblem of quiet helpfulness, an attitude that still shapes Campbeltown today and lives on in the heart of the town: the DNA of Campbeltown.
This 12-year-old Campbeltown malt first matured in first fill bourbon barrels before being finished for 9 months in first fill tawny port casks. Release No. 3 reveals dark fruits, a rich sweetness and chocolate notes, paired with the unmistakable maritime saltiness. Bottled at cask strength, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour.

4cl sample of the Highland Park 1999 Best Dram #5537 - 55,7% Refill Oloroso Sherry Butt Founded in 1798, the Highland Park distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands is Scotland's northernmost distillery. Thanks to its special location, and in particular Orkney peat, which differs considerably from Islay peat, the whisky has a distinctive flavour. One of its core aromas is the much-quoted “heather honey sweetness”. The water comes from a lower-lying spring, Cattie Maggie's Quarry.

It was founded in 1823 on the banks of the Dullon, but draws its water from the Conval Hills. Its whisky is distilled in a special process using six stills, one of which bears the lovely name "wee witchy", little witch.

At the foot of Scotland's highest mountain, Ben Nevis in the western Highlands near Fort William, lies the distillery of the same name. It was built in 1825 by John McDonald, a descendant of the Lord of the Isles. Production was halted between 1984 and 1990; after the takeover by Nikka in 1989, production resumed a year later. The water for Ben Nevis comes from the Allt A Mhullin Burn.

The Octomore distillery was founded in 1816 by George Montgomery in Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. In 1852, Thomas Pattison took over the distillery, which was closed later that same year. In 2008, Bruichladdich had plans to reopen Octomore, but these plans were never realized. However, since 2008, Bruichladdich has been bottling a heavily peated single malt under the name “Octomore.”

The Bruichladdich distillery on Islay, whose name means “corner of the beach,” was built in 1881 by the Harley brothers. After the distillery had been closed for some time, it was announced on December 20, 2000, that it would soon resume operations. As early as May 2001, the first newmake flowed from the stills. Bruichladdich's success is closely linked to the work of one of the most influential figures in the Scottish whiskey scene—Jim McEwan. In 2012, the distillery changed hands again for 58 million pounds. The current owner is Remy Cointreau.
