Milk & Honey 2021 Best Dram - 57.7%

Product information "Milk & Honey 2021 Best Dram - 57.7%"

Israel’s 300 days of sunshine in an average year and its Mediterranean climate are defining characteristics of the whiskies from the Mild & Honey Distillery. Maturation in a warm climate means that the whiskey matures quickly, yet with great elegance. Whiskey produced in a warmer climate takes on a specific terroir that brings out unique flavors that differ somewhat from those of the Old World. The methods, techniques, and equipment are based on centuries-old knowledge, and the distillery adheres to the tradition of aging for at least three years.

Dhumat 2008 Barolo Scotch Universe - 54,9%

What begins as pure malted barley in the Scottish Highlands goes through a process here in which patience is the most important ingredient. Over seventeen years, in the stillness of the warehouse, this single malt has undergone a metamorphosis that lifts it far beyond its original profile and blurs the boundaries between the Scottish art of distilling and Italian winemaking culture. The 1st Fill Barolo barrique shapes this 17-year-old malt with dense berry notes. Discover its fascinating, wine-led complexity.

Highland Park 1999 Best Dram #5537 - 55,7%

Founded in 1798, the Highland Park distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands is Scotland's northernmost distillery. Thanks to its unique location—and specifically the Orkney peat, which differs significantly from Islay peat—the whisky possesses a distinctive flavor profile. One of its signature notes is the oft-cited "heather-honey sweetness." The water is drawn from a lower-lying source, Cattie Maggie's Quarry.

The Bunnahabhain distillery lies on the Sound of Islay at the north-eastern corner of the island, directly opposite the Isle of Jura. It is so remote that when it was built in 1881, a long and winding road down to the sea had to be built first. The water used for making the whisky, which is relatively low in peat for Islay, comes from an underground spring, the Margadale River. Until 2003 the distillery was owned by the descendants of its founders, Highland Distillers. The current owner is Burn Stewart Distillers.
