The small family-run distillery was founded in 2009 by Jens-Erik Jørgensen as one of the smallest distilleries in the world.
His dream of producing Danish whisky quickly became reality. A special feature of Fary Lochan's whisky is that part of the malt used for whisky production is smoked with fresh nettles, creating a very unique kind of "smoke".

The Danes from Give have been running their distillery since 2009. Until 2014 they used Scottish malt, since 2015 only local ingredients.
Caskhound has managed to secure a cask from this distillery. Only the greats SMWS and Berry Bros & Rudd have managed this before. Thus, they are only the third UA that can claim to bring a bottling of this distillery to the market. But what makes the distillery so special that they have bought a cask from this still small and by many still unnoticed distillery? Well, the Danes not only know how to distil good whisky, they are also the first to smoke their malt over nettle smoke. The owner knows this method from his homeland of Funen, where cheese, for example, is smoked in this way. So what we have here is a malt that is not peated but burnt. If that’s not madness?
The malt Caskhound chose was distilled in 2014 and spent 7 years in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Cask.
The bottling comes in a 0.5 litre bottle, just like the OA bottlings from Fary Lochan. The cask yielded 430 bottles and we have 60.3%vol cask strength.

Ripe pineapple, gentle tobacco smoke and a maritime touch: this Bowmore shows Islay from its fruity side. The 22-year-old single malt from Milroy's Vintage Reserve combines long maturation with finely balanced smokiness. Its golden amber hue sits alongside the cream-coloured label with gold and red lettering; the black box with gold lettering and a window gives a view of the bottle.

The first impression belongs to the golden amber in the clear glass; on the nose, beach bonfire smoke and creamy sweetness follow. This 15-year-old Bowmore from Milroy's Vintage Reserve combines maritime Islay character with the gentle side of bourbon cask maturation. The cream-coloured label with gold, red and black lettering and the black window box with gold writing give the 0,7 litre bottle a classic setting.

The Craigellachie is located in the Speyside. It was founded by Peter Mackie and others and built in 1891. In 1964 the distillery was extended to owning four stills. Nowadays the distillery is owned by Bacardi Martini. The water that is used came from the Hill of Little Conval, but today it comes from the Blue Hill.
