Product information "Bowmore 15-Year-Old Sherry Cask - 43%"
Bowmore, founded in 1779, looks back on a centuries-old history in the heart of Islay. This single malt spends its 15-year maturation period in a combination of hand-selected bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, with a carefully selected Oloroso sherry finish providing the final touch. The island’s maritime climate and aging in the historic No. 1 Vaults give the distillate exceptional expressiveness and structure over the years.
On the nose, a complex aroma of raisins and molasses unfolds, underscored by sweet cinnamon and the tart notes of dark chocolate. On the palate, the whiskey is full-bodied, with notes of syrupy toffee, licorice root, and a spicy hint of cloves. The subtle smokiness typical of Bowmore blends harmoniously with the elegant woody notes of cedar and leads to a long-lasting, complex finish.
