Since 1864, the name Black Bull has stood for whiskies that make no compromises and retain their distinct character. This blended Scotch from the Scottish Highlands was curated by the renowned bottler Duncan Taylor and matured for a full 30 years before undergoing further refinement through double cask maturation in oak barrels. Bottled at a substantial 50% ABV, this whisky consistently forgoes chill filtration and colorants to preserve the full aromatic depth of the malted barley and grain whisky in its purest form.
In the glass, the whiskey displays a deep amber hue that reflects its long aging in wood without any artificial intervention. The nose is greeted by citrus notes and the delicate, ethereal spice of cedarwood, accompanied by a sweet note reminiscent of rhubarb syrup and malt candies. On the palate, an impressive texture unfolds: creamy chocolate pralines meet cherry jam and an intriguing note of honey-sweet cashews.
