The fourth edition of the Signature Series is a personal selection by Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman. In the historic warehouses of Lochranza, this Island single malt matured for nine years in a sophisticated combination of three cask types: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Amontillado sherry casks. This combination unites the dry spice of the Amontillado with the nutty structure of the Oloroso and the deep, raisiny sweetness of the PX into a complex whole that perfectly complements the distillery's DNA.
In the glass the spirit shows a warm, natural honey colour, testament to the absence of any added colouring. The bouquet is carried by distinctive orange peel and soft cocoa notes, underpinned by Arran's typical maltiness. On the palate a dense texture of caramelised toffee unfolds, balanced by lively fruitiness and subtle sherry spice. At a robust 50 % vol. and non-chill-filtered, the mouthfeel remains full and unadulterated.
