Glenfiddich
Glenfiddich (valley of the Fiddich, or valley of the deer) plays a very special role in the history of single malt Scotch whisky. In 1963 it was the very first whisky ever to be bottled and sold as a SINGLE MALT. The distillery, built in 1886 by William Grant and his family, is still family-owned today. As it did more than 100 years ago, the water for Glenfiddich comes from the Robbie Dubh spring. The company's other distilleries are Balvenie, Kininvie and the Girvan grain distillery.
