Glasgow
As early as 1770, a distillery called Dundashill stood on the site of today's Glasgow distillery, and it was one of the first licensed whisky distilleries at the time.
In 2014, Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Ian McDougall decided to revive this piece of history and founded the Glasgow Distillery. Today it is one of the few urban distilleries in Scotland dedicated to whisky production. With what are now four pot stills, it currently produces around 440,000 litres of alcohol a year.

One of the older Glasgow whiskies, a nine-year-old Palo Cortado single cask, steps up in honour of Kirsch's 50th anniversary: The Glasgow 1770 – 2017/2026 pays tribute to Kirsch Import with a rich, fruit-forward profile of crisp apples, orange zest and sweet hedge cherries, along with walnut and espresso. To achieve this, the single malt, old by the distillery's standards, was given a second maturation of more than six years in a sherry cask previously seasoned with Palo Cortado.

Unusual for the Lowlands, the Glasgow Distillery burns, among other things, single malt from peat malt. For the exclusive bottling, it spent its final maturation period in a barrel pre-loaded with Moscatel. The sweet wine is made from the sherry grape of the same name and develops a high sugar content. The result at a strong 60.1% vol. Cask Strength: sweet smoke, floral notes, tobacco, citrus and spices.
