coconut. Praline and vanilla cream join in. Deeply charred peat settles over the palate as dry, ashy smoke, while citrus oils and saltiness provide clarity. Over time, spirit, cask and grain come together in a dram that is both powerful and balanced.

Octomore 17.2Octomore 17.2 is the second step in the Seventeen Series and relies on a double wood maturation. The intense smokiness of the malt meets fruity and spicy notes from the cask maturation: strawberry, blackberry and blackcurrant combine with steadily building peat smoke. Pepper and earthy aromas are brightened by lemon zest and lime oil. The influence of port intensifies the fruit and spice without pushing the barley and peat into the background. The result is a rich, lively and harmoniously composed Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
